Now and
now and now.

Trey began practicing yoga in 2018 and received his 200-hour certification through Yoga Flow SF. What started as a physical practice quickly evolved into a transformative mental, spiritual, and emotional discipline that continues to deepen.

Drawing inspiration from yoga philosophy, Trey constantly reminds himself of Sūtra I.1 — atha yoga anushasanam; the reminder that yoga is always beginning now and now and now. This philosophy of perpetual presence infuses both his personal practice and his teaching.

Students in Trey's classes can expect a challenging workout, woven together with insights and learnings from his own evolving practice. His teaching is grounded in three core pillars: perseverance, community, and engagement — each explored through both introspective self-reflection and outward connection with others.

"Yoga offers a pathway to living more authentically through deeper connection with oneself and the divine."
Mentor: Anna Hughes · Yoga Flow SF

Deeply grateful to mentor Anna Hughes and teachers Tom Lee, Leslie Gleser, Tanya Clark, Mary Polizzotti, Erin Gilmore, Rebecca Rogers, Kate Holcombe, Charisse Balance, Linda Sounders, and all practitioners he has had the honor to learn from and practice alongside.

The sūtras
as living practice.

Sūtra I.1
अथ योगानुशासनम्
Atha yoga-anuśāsanam
Now begins the practice of yoga. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. The mat is always greeting you for the first time.
Sūtra II.1
तपःस्वाध्यायेश्वरप्रणिधानानि
Tapas svādhyāya Īśvarapraṇidhāna
Heat, self-study, surrender. The three limbs of Kriyā Yoga are the spine of every class I teach.
Sūtra II.46
स्थिरसुखमासनम्
Sthira-sukham-āsanam
The posture is steady and easeful. We seek the middle path — effort without rigidity, ease without collapse.

What I bring

Four pillars of the practice.

Every class I teach weaves together these elements — not as technique, but as transmission.

🔥

Perseverance

तपस्

The willingness to stay. To return to the mat, to the breath, to the present moment — again and again and again.

🤝

Community

संघ

Yoga is not a solo practice. We grow through outward connection with others — sweat shared is transformation shared.

🌬️

Engagement

ध्यान

Full presence — in the body, in the breath, in the room. Not performing yoga, but inhabiting it from the inside out.

🙏

Atha

अथ

Now. The practice is always beginning. Every class, every breath, every moment — an invitation to begin again.
